I’m solo parenting this week, and this morning all five of my kids slept past 8 a.m. — something that has never happened before since having the baby!
It’s nothing huge, but it felt like such a sweet little gift from the Lord in a week of parenting on my own.
I had a chance to pray, drink my coffee without a toddler asking for sips, and mentally prepare myself for the day ahead.
Sometimes God’s care for us shows up in very ordinary ways — a quiet house, a slow morning, a few extra moments to breathe. He sees us where we are and meets us there with small mercies for the day.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23
