Technically, it’s simple and disciplined. The red is doing real work, not just shouting. Focus falls where it should. The frame is clean enough to let the symbol breathe, but messy enough to remind you it’s happening in the street, not a textbook.

Aesthetically, it avoids nostalgia and avoids mockery. The flag isn’t heroic, ironic, or aestheticised to death. It’s just there, mid-movement, caught properly alive.

At a human level, the small hand on the pole matters. Scale, inheritance, accident. Politics as something you grow up holding, not something you choose off a shelf.
