Netflix has (especially with movies but also TV) let quality slip massively, but this mostly hasn’t impacted them yet because they benefit from the fact that Netflix is the default streaming service for most people and a lot of folks will choose a mid movie on Netflix over much better stuff elsewhere on the basis of convenience alone. It’s working okay for them in the short run but they’re shooting themselves in the foot if they don’t course correct before long.
