Nearly everyone picked the Yakult Swallows to finish last again in the Central League. So of course, they open the season with a sweep of the DeNA BayStars to start 3-0.

Over in the Pacific League, the Nippon-Ham Fighters knocked 8 home runs over the first three games of the season, double more than any other team. They lost every game and are 0-3. That's baseball.
