What do you think the chances are that Rubio, et al, never intended to “run” Venezuela — they just wanted Maduro out of the way to cut a deal for the oil — and Trump just rambled that into existence at the news conference because of his increasing dementia?

He’s spent most of his life simply bullshitting, whether selling condos, hustling new businesses, bankrupting casinos, and attacking women. It’s his first instinct.

And now that he’s apparently taking regular infusions via the back of his hand for the new Alzheimer’s drug, the side effect of “loss of inhibitions” is kicking in and he’s reverting back to form, relying on whatever comes to the top of his head at the time.

This makes so much sense to me, but I’ve not seen a peep in this direction in any of the news analyses… What say you?
