"All In The Family" did more damage to America in its day than any other single institution, and Rob Reiner, as the Meathead, was integral to that propaganda operation. He did a great job painting Archie Bunker, the representative of generations of Catholic Men, as being stupid, parochial, bigoted, infantile, and indoctrinated. And Meathead was portrayed as intellectual, understanding, introspective, and "progressing" from the chains of Oppressive Christendom to the fresh air of Enlightened Liberalism. (So how did that work out?)

Whether or not his son was a Woke Nightmare this Wolf does not know, but it does certainly make sense. Liberalism is great at tearing down institutions, but historically quite pathetic at replacing them with anything enduring. The French Revolution toppled a monarchy centuries old, only to put worse tyrants in place. The American Founding Fathers dispensed with all the codes of Popery and Monkish Superstitions, but were unable to establish any sane system of justice in its place.

Christendom did indeed have its shortcomings. A lot of those Knights in Shining Armor were useful idiots, and many of those damsels were not quite in distress. It did not help that even Saints were tempted to embellish things, while popes proved that they too are not immune from the world, the flesh, and the devil. Hidden history certainly did not start in 1776, but goes back at least to the 13th Century. Those Evil Muslims appear to have been set up by the Kabbalistic Joos, as well as Ghengis Khan and the gang. And the Crusades, in the final analysis, appear to be nothing more than a Marketing Campaign.

As for the contemporaneous news cycle, Cankerpuss got it right when he said it is nothing but gaslighting to the fifth power. The Sheeple, of course, enjoy being Gaslighted, because the Naked truth is just too damned scary. Sorry Virginia, but the age of the Martyrs is NOT over. Just ask all those German Girls raped by the Mongolian hordes in Prussia in 1945 and all those Ukrainian Grandmas who died of starvation in 1925. Just ask all those Mexican Cristeros who fought a regime aided by Uncle Sam in 1929 who were trying to make Mexico safe for Altar and Throne.

Holy Monks and Hermits are like nuclear reactors and landfills. Everybody wants the benefits of one, but nobody wants one just past their backyard. They were always hoping it would be the other guy who would do penance, say lots of prayers, feed the poor, and shelter the homeless, while they chugged brew, ate their Pius XII Pot Roast, and watched the Big Game.
