Contrary opinion:

Don’t make yourself unavailable. There’s a strange idea that if you are hard to reach, then you make yourself more important.

That hasn’t been my experience at all.

My reputation is developed by my willingness to serve. Some of my most important relationships were founded from a simple email reply or cold DM.

Be a real person. That’s way more effective than being “important.”
