I really love this webinar with Jason Reynolds and Tiffany D. Jackson about the publishing process and what it takes to write a book. Three takeaways that stood out to me the most:

• You have to live and die on your own ability to not just have a bunch of great ideas, but also your ability to execute them and FINISH the story.

• There’s no slower industry than this. When nothing is happening, keep writing anyway. Your next book will sell your last book.

• Have your full manuscript already written before scouting for agents and sending queries. You don't want to get turned away just because you don't have a full manuscript.
