A parent I met at school is 40 today. I asked how they were going to celebrate. He said they were going to Nando’s for dinner! His kids were very excited! There was such joy! I loved the simplicity of that! Peace in the little things!

I am turning 40 in a couple of months and I’ve been stressing about how to celebrate! This was my reminder that peace is what I want the most! I want to feel free to do what I want with the people I love, even if it’s just going to McDonald’s with my husband and kids!

Dear God, fill me with your peace always!
