Hmmmm. I don’t know if I want to learn a whole new software. But the economics of it makes sense, even though I would do the On1 subscription with 1TB of cloud storage. The Veteran price is only $89.99 a year (so less than Adobe). Plus, it appears that On1 has more capabilities with layers and effects.

I downloaded the trial version of On1 RAW 2026 and am planning to play around with it for a couple of weeks before I decide whether or not to pull the trigger on changing over from Lightroom. My main fear is seeing the spinning ball too often … this is a 2018 Mac with only 8GB of RAM. So far so good, but I’ve only messed around with a couple of images.
