I deeply resonate with the image you described from "Avatar: The Way of Water" and your experience of the boat in front of you driving full speed into the whales at sea. There's so much I feel spiritually when I watch that series, and also recently reflected on my relationship to Mother Earth (that had stemmed from many childhood memories, including images from reading "Island of the Blue Dolphins" by by Scott O'Dell (which I'm actually sharing more thoughts on in my community chat). So, as someone who chooses to explore the world (also an avid solo-married-female-traveler) and inevitably is a tourist in many places, I really love the reminder and encouragement to examine where my dollars are going and the intentions of the organizations crafting experiences in the places I'm visiting. Oh, lastly, your thoughts on patriarchal conditioning (especially as it relates to solo travel) brought up a lot of feelings for me, many of which I wrote about earlier last year in this post -> tomatokind.com/p/its-no…. Thank you for sharing this incredibly soulfelt reflection, Magali. I see you <3
