We live in a time that people are more inclined to obey an unlawful executive order than they are to follow a court order 🤦🏾‍♀️.

Dictators are created due to cruelty, cowardice, & compliance! IF THEIR ASSES will ignore the Supreme Court, we can definitely IGNORE HIM!

I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

The media is scared of Donald Trump because if he attacks them, they lose money.

I'm not scared.

I'm not backed by big corporate sponsors. I will always stand up to Trump.

Tell me again why we’re letting a 78 year old, legit smelly, odorous, frail, loser old man who bankrupted a CASINO bankrupt the country?

Congress? Any answers?

Of course advance information on US combat operations is classified. Pretending otherwise is an insult to our troops, who all know this.

I don't have time to write a long treatise comparing 2024 to 1968, but I watched the protests of 1968 and the chaos in Chicago happen in real time, not in person, but live on TV, and I can say with conviction: 2024, you ain't no 1968.

The main reason in a nutshell: young people in 1968 were protesting a senseless war being conducted by their *own* government in which thousands of Americans had already been killed. That's not even counting the deaths of innocent Vietnamese. The protesters -- at l…

I was at the Democratic Convention. It was a quite an experience in many ways. My chief take-way from 1968 is that though the Viet Cong were Communists, the domino theory was insufficient reason to do what all we did there. I have pointed out the the Viet Cong were not keen to annihilate anybody, like Hamas; only to run the country as they saw fit.

Let us not forget that the man who became Ho Chi Minh was a worker in the Parker House Hotel in Boston, among other jobs all over the world. He approached the US government for support for their attempts to overthrow colonial rule by the French, using the US foundational documents in his petition, and was rebuffed because of some crazy-ass theory of “communism” that was rampant in the 1950s US. And then ... for the want of a nail...

There’s a great documentary on him on PBS. I think it might be a Frontline. Worth a look.

I grew up in poverty on my tribe’s reservation but, for a few years, the poorest people on the rez were a white family that were Grapes of Wrath destitute. I don’t know how they arrived on the rez and I don’t remember when they left. They lived in a decrepit house that had been abandoned by Indians because it was uninhabitable. School lunch was often the only meal of the day for those kids. Have you ever seen a starving child attack a plate of food? Eating so ferociously that food would fly out…

I always laugh when writers claim to be “decolonizing” literature. Are you kidding? Writers are jewel thieves, bank robbers, and stagecoach bandits. Just ask anybody related to a writer! We shoplift pieces of other people’s lives. We shoplift their overhead conversations. We turn the world upside down and shake the stories out of its pants pockets. Yeah, we’re bullies. We demand your time and attention. And, whoa, I don’t know why anybody ever gets romantically involved with a writer. Your most…
