"All the Ways Donald Trump Is Dramatically Redesigning the White House. Here's everything Donald Trump has done to remake the historic building." — by Sarah Cascone for Artnet[dot]com.

The article is disappointingly written in that AP newswire monotone style—no juice. But, there are some interesting factoids in it. So, worth the time to read—for architecture buffs, like myself (although the words tasting as if they were cardboard).

Here’s a pull quote, if I’m going to have a pull quote for this Note:

“Anytime Melania and Donald can make the White House feel more like Mar-a-Lago, they will,” a club member told People. “They love Mar-a-Lago. Not only is it their home, but Donald personally created much of the current decor and takes pride in living there and showing it to other people.”

My tangential, not quite non sequitur comment: You will NEVER, EVER see Trump step foot inside the brutalist rectangular-egg HHS and HUD headquarters buildings to do an event there (say, to celebrate the soon-coming End of Autism).

When is a profile reporter at Architectural Digest going to profile Trump-47? A fresh and deeply rich reexamination—in a 5,000 to 10,000 word piece—of Trump’s architectural arc and his personal aesthetics, and the historical ripples of all that? I mean, the remodeling of the interior of his Manhattan residence from essentially brown to gilded gold—shortly after his divorce from Ivana—that alone… Don’t get me started…

Where’s the juice?! This is the Age of Substack, for Pete’s sake!
