Bravo to horror for representing at the Oscars last night. I didn’t expect best picture because of the Academy’s history with horror, but Sinners winning best original screenplay, best cinematography, best original score; Amy Madigan winning best supporting actress (Weapons); Frankenstein best production design, and, of course, Michael B. Jordan as an actor in a leading role; should make horror fans feel pretty good about the state of horror in 2026.
