I watched The Elixir on Netflix last night and it has one of my favorite kinds of horror energy: Absolutely nobody in this movie is emotionally equipped for what is happening.
Nobody turns into an action hero after ten minutes. Nobody suddenly becomes an expert in apocalypse logistics because they once listened to a podcast.
People argue, freeze, and make terrible decisions while convinced they’re making reasonable ones. Not because they’re stupid… because they’re human.
Five out of five zombies. Highly recommended.
