An excellent read here and worthy of discussion. I agree with him with caution. My caution is when believers disagree with one another publicly.

Discussions turn into debates and debates turn hostile too quickly.

“Remind them of these things, solemnly charging them in the presence of God not to dispute about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers.” — 2 Timothy 2:14

When Paul withstands Peter to his face we don’t see how Peter responds. If both parties are willing to approach with respect and humility not forgetting their own plank, discussions stay respectful.

Humility is the linchpin to all discussions.
