Something I’ve been battling internally since the new year is AI and how to handle it when it comes to featuring stories on a weekly basis here. Where does Top in Fiction cross the line? How can AI be verified or not verified across dozens upon dozens of submissions from across the community? AI images are ok but AI prose isn’t? Should stories that use either be disqualified? One over the other?

It truly makes me wonder if I’ve finally reached the point where I’ve gotten in over my head and it’s all just very overwhelming.

So…if you’re wondering why the Monday Weekly Issues are late more often than not it because I’m constantly torn about what should be featured and worrying if someone is going to DM me later on (this has happened on multiple occasions) to inform me that “so and so” is using AI to write their work…

All this to say, the Weekly Issue that should’ve released this past Monday will be sent later today…

How do I move forward with this issue? I do not know. Just wanted to share where my head has been at for the past 3+ months.
