What a beautiful look into the practice of Shinto from Toukyo. If you’re curious about the embedded ‘religion’ and spirituality in Japanese people, this is an interesting place to start! (And spotted Patrick M. Lydon’s wonderful question!)

Shinto is not only about special rituals or dramatic spiritual experiences. It is also about showing care through small acts: cleaning, preparing, bowing, offering, speaking carefully, and paying attention to the atmosphere of a place.
