The notorious overland mountain crossing from Nguroje, in Nigeria to Banyo, in Cameroon, is an adrenaline rush that sometimes pushed us to our limit. We took four days to drive the 130km off-road route. Every morning we started at sunrise to make the most of our energy and ensure we could camp early in the afternoon to enjoy the prize for our efforts – some of the best remote wild-camping we’d experienced in West Africa.
