The app for independent voices

Quick note from our CEO Kelly Dietrich on this past weekend’s No Kings protests:

“More than 7 million Americans showed up at No Kings protests this weekend. That's 2 million more than the last demonstration in June.

These weren't just protests – they were proof that people are ready to fight back against overreach and defend our democracy.

But here's the question I keep hearing: "What's next?"

…The same passion that got 7 million people into the streets needs to translate into candidates running for office at every level, volunteers knocking doors for Democrats in 2026, and voters showing up in the midterms with a plan.

This energy during Trump's first term helped Democrats flip the House in 2018. That didn't happen by accident – it happened because protesters became volunteers, volunteers became organizers, and organizers became candidates.

History is repeating itself, and we have a choice: let this energy fade, or channel it into the 2026 midterms starting right now.

The path from protest to power runs through your community. Run for school board and fight back against extremism in education. Run for city council and protect your neighbors from federal overreach. Run for state legislature and be a check on this administration.

Volunteer. Knock doors or make calls for any local race you care about. There are thousands of local elections about to take place in just a few weeks. If there aren't local races near you, 2026 candidates are already announcing. Help them, help your local party – just don't let this energy fade.

Republicans are betting you'll go home after the protest and forget about politics until 2028. Prove them wrong.

The training you need to turn your frustration into action is at traindems.org – completely free, because access to running for office shouldn't depend on your connections or bank account.

Democracy isn't saved in a single day of protests. It's saved by the sustained work of people who refuse to give up.

Are you ready to be one of them?”
