Part 2 on initial thoughts on Thursday’s college football games:

6) Missouri has some DUDES in the front-seven. Damon Wilson II and Josiah Trotter, in particular, were all over Central Arkansas all night.

7) A lot has been made of Cayden Green playing at LT. He showed some versatility, but got beat on an inside move too easily for a sack of Pribula to go along with 2 penalties. I still think he’s a better prospect inside, but time will tell.

8) I have a Top-50 grade on Chandler Rivers and it will take quite a bit to move me off of that stance. He is quick, smart and can be used in a multitude of ways. Also, credit to Elon who always impress me with their offensive innovation and execution.

9) While his former Akron Zips teammates were playing the Wyoming Cowboys, Bryan McCoy Jr. was lining up for a different set of Cowboys in Stillwater Oklahoma. He recorded 14 total tackles and showed why he was among the best players in the MAC prior to transferring.

10) I was impressed with defensive lineman Anthony Smith, the Redshirt Junior for Minnesota, who made a number of eye-catching plays vs Buffalo. At 6’6, 285 pounds and excellent length, I could see him working his way into a Day 2 pick, if he continues this level of performance.
