The app for independent voices

Sometimes I wonder if I've done enough, if I'm doing enough to make sure she's not forgotten.

It's been nearly six months without Jernee Timid, and my soul misses my sweet girl so deeply.

I don't laugh the same. I don't speak the same. I don't write the same. I don't feel the same.

I ask myself, “Are these poems what I needed to release--what needed to leave me in order to heal?”

I hope they are. I need them to be.

She'll be my forever grief. I don't mind spending an entire lifetime feeling the beauty of her every single day.

Scattered Words are exactly that… poems that left me in a scattered way to find their place in a book where they could come together as one.

I hope she's proud of me. I'm still holding on without her.
