7-11 GO YUM AKA GOYIM FOODS

If by "Go! Yum" you mean the 7-Select GO! Yum snack line at 7-Eleven, the exact ingredients vary a lot from product to product. Some items are relatively simple, while others are highly processed. Looking across several GO! Yum products, these are the ingredients that nutrition-conscious people most often try to minimize:

  1. Corn syrup

    • Concentrated refined sweetener with little nutritional value. Found in some GO! Yum products such as peanut brittle.

  2. Maltodextrin

    • Highly processed starch additive used for texture and flavor delivery. Common in flavored snack foods.

  3. TBHQ (tertiary butylhydroquinone)

    • A synthetic preservative used to extend shelf life of oils and fats. Found in some chocolate filling ingredients.

  4. Modified palm oil

    • Processed vegetable fat often used for texture and shelf stability.

  5. Soybean oil

    • Widely used industrial seed oil. Present in some GO! Yum snack products.

  6. Monoglycerides

    • Emulsifiers used to improve texture and shelf life in processed foods.

  7. Artificial or "natural" flavorings

    • These can represent complex proprietary mixtures and are often heavily processed.

  8. Dextrose

    • A refined sugar used in many processed snacks.

  9. Carrageenan

    • A thickener and stabilizer used in some ice creams and dairy products.

  10. Yeast extract

    • Used as a flavor enhancer in savory snacks.

Looking at the nutrition panels, many GO! Yum desserts are also very high in sugar (21–32 g per serving) and saturated fat, regardless of the ingredient list. For example, the Triple Chocolate Cookie Bites contain 32 g of sugar per serving, and the Birthday Cake Cookie Bites contain 28 g.

One thing worth noting: not every GO! Yum product is loaded with additives. Some, like certain popcorns or peanut brittles, have surprisingly short ingredient lists compared with typical convenience-store snacks.

If your goal is to identify the worst GO! Yum products from a whole-foods perspective, I can rank specific GO! Yum items from most processed to least processed.
