I remember when I was venting to another leader about the blatant disrespect, undermining, and racism directed at me by my ‘manager’ and some of my white, racist colleagues.

I’ll never forget the words he said to me as he tried to mitigate the situation at HQ all the way from Chicago while setting up for the convention.

“Oh, Natasha. I’m so sorry. I want you to know that this is not what the DNC stands for.”

No… I don't accept that. Because what I experienced and witnessed being done to others proves that racism, ableism, sexism, and every other 'ism' are embedded.

They are precisely what they stand for, and how they operate.
