I told this to my husband as I was about to send my first draft manuscript of my next book to my editor, that nowadays it’s not nearly so romantic to click “send” on an email with an attached doc.

He then picked a stem from the flowers he bought me as a congratulations, and I held them up like a doofus as I hit send on that email.
