The app for independent voices

Here is the thing Silicon Valley refuses to understand, usually while polishing its own reflection.

Trump is not a shield. He is an accelerant.

Yes, tech got its tax breaks, its crypto free-for-all, its AI hall pass. Congratulations on winning the short game. But power does not reward collaborators with stability. It rewards them with dependence, and then it eats them when the optics turn sour.

The same executives who screamed about “employee activism” and “regulatory overreach” have now yoked their legitimacy to a man whose only governing principle is transactional cruelty. That is not alignment. That is reputational suicide on layaway.

AI without guardrails is not innovation; it is liability laundering. Data centers without consent are not progress; they are extraction pits with better branding. And when the layoffs stack up, the bubbles pop, and the bots start harming real people in ways even PR cannot spin, the backlash will not be subtle. (ahem… OpenAI with six suicide-related cases so far.)

Oligarchs always think they can ride the tiger.

Why do they never ask who gets eaten first‽
