YES, it’s by me, so it is a sprawling series, but I think it is as complete as the story can get without publishing a whole damned book.

Campaign finance in America is not a neutral system. It is a velvet rope, a security checkpoint, a discreetly racist doorman deciding which candidates even get to knock on democracy’s door. Your ballot is not the first step of the process. It’s the final, ceremonial blessing of choices already filtered through wealth. If that makes your blood pressure climb, good. Mine’s been up since Buckley v. Valeo.
