Quick question for the ND brains here

Still experimenting with regulation strategies and realizing I probably stim more than I used to notice.

Lately I catch myself humming, groaning, rocking, tapping my fingers together, or touching one finger to another. If I let those things happen throughout the day instead of suppressing them, my system seems to stay steadier.

Right now I’m still figuring out what actually works for my body versus what I’ve just trained myself to hide.

Curious about other people’s patterns. What are your most helpful stims?

Examples:

• movement

• sounds

• fidgets

• pressure

• pacing

• rocking

• something else entirely

Also wondering if people find it helps to stim before things escalate; using it as regular regulation instead of only when overwhelmed.

Trying to build a better “regulation toolkit,” and I’d love to hear what works for others.
