Make money doing the work you believe in

Seven years ago, I wrote a story for TIME about how, some 140 years after construction began, Barcelona would finally finish Gaudi’s masterpiece in 2026. Meeting that deadline was a feat that would require extraordinary skill, craftsmanship, and ambition—to say nothing of buckets of money—and, as that little cover asterisk suggests, there was no shortage of doubt about whether they’d be able to pull it off. But today, the 100th anniversary of Gaudi’s death, Pope Leo XIV will inaugurate the completed* Sagrada Familia, just as promised. Oh, ye of little faith.
