What do you think about Bill Hicks' death?

I wasn't alive yet. Was Bill spreading too much truth that they had to off him?

Or did they make him a deal he couldn't refuse-- re-incarnate himself as Alex Jones and serve as controlled opposition, or else die a painful death of ?pancreatic cancer? If memory serves me..
