Nigeria ALSO just announced they are starting registration of livestock:

"The federal government plans to commence the digital registration and tagging of all cattle, sheep and goats across the country as part of measures to curb cattle rustling, improve livestock traceability and boost Nigeria’s access to international livestock markets."

So, easy now, so it's just in case someone takes your cow, the government wants to be there to help you get it back...
