I joined Grant on Fox 32 Chicago’s A Four Star Podcast to talk about courtyard urbanism, single-stair reform, Chicago zoning, and why the standard American apartment block—with its double-loaded corridors, isolated units, and lack of usable shared outdoor space—is failing urban families.
The alternative is not sprawl. It is a better city: mid-rise perimeter blocks, shared green courtyards, family-sized apartments, walkable streets, and neighborhoods where children can safely grow up.
