Musings of the Day, 4/10/26:

Had the incredibly good fortune to hear the CEO of VAST speak yesterday and get a private tour of the facilities.

VAST just raised $500mm and is building the first commercial space station with hopes to be the replacement for ISS.

I think the coolest future project is their artificial gravity space station, which spins around its center axis, aiming for 1g at the ends and 0g in the center.

Imagine going for a jog along the length of this space station, where you start at Earth gravity and get lighter and lighter until you fly through the center and eventually land on your feet again and get back to “Earth” on the other side!
