Incident at Kuwait Power and Water Treatment Station

🔹 NASA FIRMS satellite data detected an active fire at the Doha West power and water treatment station in Kuwait since yesterday.

🔹 Images show signs of fire and smoke in the central part of the facility, with NASA thermal detection extending to the coastal storage tank area.

🔹 Doha West is Kuwait's largest combined power and water treatment facility; with a power generation capacity of 2400 megawatts and 110 million gallons of water per day, accounting for 38.5% of Kuwait's total water treatment production.

🔹 Kuwait relies on water treatment for 90% of its drinking water.
