I am still recovering from Saturday at Tokyo Game Show. My phone says I walked 13000 steps & I got thoroughly squished between sweaty gaming nerds on multiple occasions but it was fun!

Things I learned:

• If you want to play AAA demos, show up as early as you can. Show up the day before (probably prohibited). We arrived at the station at opening time & had to queue for 1.5 hrs to get inside the venue. By then, all demo play tickets were long gone.

• Merch has long queues too (~1 hr). Most merch isn’t exclusive so I wouldn’t recommend buying any at TGS.

• Walking around, playing indie or smaller games & looking at shows with friends is the best way to have fun!

Some of my highlights were the concert by Falcom jdk Band performing songs from the Trails franchise (official recording is on YT) & checking out the stunning Atlus booth. The latter had a Metaphor ReFantazio trailer show with cosplayers acting on the stage! If I weren’t already hyped for this game, I would be now. Anyone playing the demo already?
