Few people understand how much depends on fascia.

How you move. How you breathe. How your posture holds. How fast your body starts to feel old. How well your face keeps its structure. How your organs sit, glide, and communicate with the rest of the body.

It matters for mood, because fascia is wired into the sympathetic nervous system.

It matters for digestion, because visceral tension changes how the diaphragm, bile flow, and intestines move.

It matters for fertility and the menstrual cycle, because the pelvic organs do not float in empty space. They sit inside a continuous fascial envelope.

And yes, it matters for pain too: low back pain, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, sciatica with no clear disc cause, pelvic floor dysfunction, headaches that imaging cannot explain, fibromyalgia.

Fascia is not some passive wrapping. It is sensory, contractile, hormone-responsive, stress-responsive, and metabolically sensitive.

My new article is the first in a series on fascia.
