I’m posting this as a note rather than a “Post” because I don’t want to send two emails in one week, but I thought I should go into a little more depth on Neptune in Aries. It’s a long one.

Thoughts on Neptune in Aries (it's been hitting me hard this week). So let's talk about it because Neptune in Aries is going to be a LONG transit. Usually it stays about 14 years in a sign. So when we think about 14 years ago, it was 2012 and we were in a very different era than we are in now, both personally and as a nation/world. AI Chatbots had not yet been invented. Obama was U.S. President and Justin Trudeau was still in the House of Commons and not yet Prime Minister. Trump was not on anyone's radar as a political candidate. There was no "fake news" as pervasive media concept.

Neptune is the planet of illusions, fantasy, artistic vision, psychology, medicine and drugs, isolation, faith/belief, idealism, divine insight, fog, confusion, blindness vs. clarity, elusivity, murkiness, and hidden depths.

In Pisces, it hides very easily, obsuring and clouding, pushing us to go deeper to find the truth because the fog is thick at the surface level. It's creatively inspiriting, inviting us to commune with the divine and to fantasize about the future, yet the other side of that coin is madness and delusion. In Pisces, we have to feel things out, we're wading in deep waters and the nuggets we need are leagues below.now

below.now that Neptune is in Aries, the fog is briefly lifting for us before Neptune takes a new form and clouds everything again, in a completely different way. What truths are being revealed to you this week? This month? What big truths or harsh realities are you encountering or what exciting opportunities have been laid before you that you once thought were only a dream?

Neptune in Aries inspires us to take action, to move forward with purpose, to get behind causes we sincerely believe in and go and do something about them. But we also have to be aware that blind allegiance isn't always healthy and can lead us astray. So some discernment is necessary to determine which ideas to pursue. We are nudged not to sit around and wait for someone to tell us what to do, that answer must come from WITHIN.

This is a time when we can find or align with a purpose and fully live it, but it must be true to your soul, not to someone else's vision of who or what you SHOULD be. Don't be clouded by other people's projections of you and who they think you are. But do be mindful of your own blind spots as Neptune in Aries can be impulsive and cause us to overlook small details.

Aries is also a sign that is connected to independence, self-reliance, and self-direction. People may chafe at restrictions to their freedoms or heavy-handed rules and laws that benefit only a select number of people. Overall, this cycle is reminding us to live purposefully, consciously, and to check in with intuitive guidance and be willing to try new things, based on those gut feelings. We have to honor our gut instincts. Pay attention to your dreams. Write them down. Get a dream interpretation book, see what these dreams are telling you. There may be a message from your higher self or your ancestors.

Globally, Neptune in Aries could be a time of growing pains. It can inflame ideological tensions and beliefs in right vs. wrong, might vs. right, and lead people to jump to conclusions if they react WITHOUT listening to intution. I am going to be hoenst here that violence can happen under this transit. The last Neptune in Aries cycle, the U.S. was in a Civil War and Europe was dealing with the Franco-Prussian War. There could also be fires, floods, and things like a global flu.

However, innovation in the fields of science and medicine are highly likely. New, life-saving drugs, better treatment options are also hallmarks of Neptune in Aries. We may gain new understandings about how the human brain and neural system works. There were significant advancements in the medical field that happened in the 1860s-1870s, both as a result of war and as a result of looking for cures to ailments like smallpox and food poisoning.

There were also doctors and nurses creating nutrition programs and better standards for hygiene due to caring for injured and malnutritioned soldiers in the Civil War. So I think we'll see big advances in the field of medicine and also in the field of technology (Uranus is about to go into Gemini to settle for several years).

We can make great strides if we act from our hearts and our intuition rather than acting from fear, anger, or revenge. It's up to each of us to make choices that allow us to grow both as individuals and as a collective rather than focusing only on short-term gains that benefit one person to the exclusion of everyone else.
