“AI can simulate intelligence. It can’t simulate buy-in.”
Technologists see clinical pathways and think: structured workflow + evidence base = coding problem.
Clinicians see clinical pathways and think: whose evidence? whose workflow? who’s accountable when it goes wrong?
The bot can generate the pathway. It cannot survive the room where six specialties discover their “best practices” are contradictory, and someone has to lose…!
Because the hardest part of healthcare isn’t knowing what to do. It’s getting everyone to agree to do it. And agreement isn’t a prompt; it’s a negotiation with egos, budgets, and the ghost of every failed initiative before this one.
Code runs when it’s correct. Pathways run when people decide to follow them…!
AI hasn’t learned the difference yet…!!
