I just read this breakdown of Iran’s open letter to the American people… and honestly, it’s less a letter and more a surgical dismantling of U.S. foreign policy.

It walks through everything: the 1953 coup, the manufactured “enemy” narrative, the war machine, and even the idea that Americans themselves aren’t the target… just the decisions being made in their name. And the uncomfortable part? A lot of it is historically grounded.

What makes this hit different is the contrast. One side writing in long memory, framing history and consequences… the other side operating like it’s a press conference cycle.

You don’t have to agree with Iran’s government to feel the weight of what’s being said here. When the country being bombed sounds more coherent and historically aware than the one doing the bombing, that should at least raise a question.
