A private Eid celebration at a rented water park became a statewide emergency because some folks saw Muslims gathering in public and immediately reached for the constitutional panic button.

Apparently “religious freedom” means church groups can rent spaces, pray loudly, and call it family values, but if Muslim families want one modest swim day for Eid, suddenly everyone becomes Thomas Jefferson in a damp swimsuit.

This was never about equal access.

It was about reminding Muslims that their belonging is always treated as conditional.

Blessed be the children who just wanted to ride the lazy river while adults performed fear in the deep end.
