Last Sunday in my five year old daughter's formation class, they told the Godly Play story with symbols of the Holy Eucharist which includes an altar and the various altar pieces. The teachers told me that my girl, who was nonverbal in most contexts outside of our home until six months ago, was so proud to tell the class that her mom would soon be a priest doing those things at the altar.

I am a crier over simple things, so it comes at no surprise that story made me weep. She's watching. She knows. 💕
