Have you ever looked at an old photo of yourself and thought, "Wow, I don't look how I felt back then." That's how it is living with chronic pain. No one knows. It doesn't show. And people will even tell you that you look great just because you have a new haircut or new clothes or nice abs, but no one knows what's going on inside. And even when you tell someone what's going on, they don't realize you mean it's almost always going on.
