United we stand

Divided we fall

But group think can destroy us all

We must stay alert

Yet keep our humanity close

For change is life

And ignorance comes at too high a cost

Unity doesn't require flags

Or loyalty oaths

It is not defined by skin

Or quality toasts

It is not dependent on imitation

Or group identification

But on standing strong

For values humane

Where laws are applied

Keeping society sane

It is not alternative truth derived

And cannot be forced or contrived

United we STAND

Together we make

A future for all

Not those with the biggest monetary stake

United we STAND

Not starving for some

not freedom to harm

Or abuse or shun

United we Stand

for the future and life

For choices and freedoms

From abuses and profitable strife

United we stand

Alone we fall

We must not allow

The few to taint us all

We must not allow loyalty games

Or the ransom of our future

For some people's gains

We must stand up for justice

For all shapes and sizes

For children and adults

Regardless of gender or

Genetic profiles

We must stand up for freedom

Of speech and information

End this threat to our union

To our hopes and our dreams

The few who see us as furniture

Dispose of as they will

Not caring if we are poisoned

Or surrounded by toxic swill

We need a decent education

For one and for all

So we can evade maneuvers

avoiding a Barnum-style maul

For too long we have turned on

The sick or the frail

The young or the gentle

Like mad dogs some do rend

Leaving women and children

On the streets alone to fend

United we stand

For one and for all

The three musketeers

Needs to be our new call

Not just for our friends

Or those who share our space

Or those who look like family

only those with familiar face

We must be united

For those we fear the most

For those who are different

Who wear a different coat

For those who are weak

And those who are too strong

For the women and children

United we won't be wrong

Justice and humanity

Must prevail

Or we will find ourselves deeper

In a toxic miserable jail

A prison of our own making

Hell because from garden lost

The future is waiting

Don't make it pay our cost.
