Yes! Repetition, short phrases, simple language. Not because people aren't smart, but because this type of language is easier to take in more quickly and to retain longer (think of catchy tv ads.) We also need to NOT apologize/take back something we say when it is the truth, even if someone feels insulted. The way America plays politics has changed.
