Make money doing the work you believe in

A kind elderly gentleman who talks to the flowers of his beautiful garden gave me some Ryūkyū evening primrose (琉球月見草) and urn orchids (紫蘭); he explained everything about the evening primrose to me, including that in Japanese it is commonly known as 「一日花」 — the one-day flower; I thought the flowers would be melancholic just with me and gave them to the coffee shop where I often go to read and write about Masao Maruyama recently; I explained about the flowers as if I were a real gardener and the lovely staff were so happy as if they became in an instant gardeners. Human dialogue can be nice in an old Socratic way, I thought.
