LLMs (chatgpt, Claude etc) can be useful for learning but in terms of open ended-ness they seem like a step backwards.

A machine that answers your question exactly will not let you stumble upon the right question to ask, the one you did not know you wanted. But my early experience clicking through the internet is just that.
