The chief issue with Liberal Modernity isn't one of late capitalism per se or even the Incel Question so much as that it doesn't really offer us a grammar for metabolizing male dignity and status adjudication other than brutalist stiff upper lippism / patronizing therapeutic individuation and outcome moralization / outright obscurantism, and doesn't even afford us release valves via brotherhood exit adventure etc. lest that expose the contradictions that demand them. Meanwhile the equilibrium is incredibly robust due to precognitive status weighting in womanly cognition artificially suppressing male candor and thus distorting society's perceptions of how bad things really are, such that any Cassandra ends up excoriated and epistemically foreclosed as incel untouchable in a closed loop with no dignified way out of the Truman Show sans maybe subcultural escape if you're talented. And anyone who's read their Hirschman knows what happens next.
