SOUTH AFRICA’S TABLE GRAPE INDUSTRY INSPECTED 81.25 MILLION CARTONS (4.5 KG CARTONS) FOR EXPORT IN THE 2025-26 SEASON, REPRESENTING A 3% YEAR-ON-YEAR INCREASE.

I have just received communication from the South African Table Grape Industry showing these encouraging data.

But the season was tough, and the major issue was inefficiencies at the Cape Town port, which weighed on the industry.

We have to improve on this going forward. As a country, we are an export-oriented agricultural sector, and ports are as important as opening new markets.
