Make money doing the work you believe in
From a Clacton voter:
“So I went to vote at Wix Village Hall and as I walked in I’m faced with a desk right across the entrance and a reform teller asking for my electoral number. It looked like an official reception desk. I asked for him to be moved, and was met with quite a lot of agitated hostility from the teller, who basically told me I was an idiot if I thought he was official. But I stood my ground. Next thing someone walks in wearing a Nigel Farage t shirt. Again I said to the residing officer that’s not allowed (I’d covered up my own count Binface t shirt) and she didn’t have a clue. Said they had never had tellers before in Wix. There is a grey area in that the teller was outside the hall with the voting booths but inside an entrance area, and seated at a large table with papers strewn all around. I know they will be doing this elsewhere so please complain if what you see seems inappropriate.....Editing this post to add that the teller was moved to the side of the lobby and I stayed to make sure he was. I will be complaining to the electoral commission though as this shouldn't have been allowed to happen”
Electoral intimidation? Reform up to its usual tricks?
Good luck, Clacton - looks like you might need it
