Predictions for 2026:

- Analog comes back in a big way. With more content there's ever been online there will be a natural shift to more analog ways of living. In person events. Books. Physical experiences.

- The average restaurant is done for. You'll either see cheap (and fast) food or it'll be expensive with an attempt to curate a great experience. Middle death.

- Substack will be the platform of 2026. It's giving me early 2021 Twitter vibes and I love it. Community feels so real, there's no rage bait fight videos and everyone seem to want something greater for themselves.

- Whether you "use AI" or not will become irrelevant. The only thing that will matter is the final product. You can use Photoshop to create something that looks "AI slop" the same way you can use Midjourney. The same with content. If you have bad taste, AI will only amplify it.

- The demand for great writers is about to skyrocket. In a world where nobody wants to write from scratch anymore, the art of writing is about to have a hefty premium associated with it. Never been a greater time to read deeply and to write creatively.

- Health will be seen less as a political issue and more for what it is. We'll come to a consensus on a few more issues and there will be an even bigger shift for more healthy food made from better ingredients. You'll see less "30g protein" labels and more "No seed oils".

- Style is back. More people are going to start dressing well just because. Minimalist designs are out. There's going to be a strong demand for beautiful things in every regard.
